At a time when the Capitals need to win all their matches to hope for a fourth straight season of the play-offs, the DC captain Rishabh Pant Her acting needs to be brought together. Former India captain and batting great Sunil Gavaskar Pant has been ill this season and the DC captain would do well to heed his advice.
Gavaskar told Sports Tak, “The problem is either he is trying to attack too early and losing his wicket or if he is set after that he is trying to hit a six off every ball. “
“He has to have some patience and bat according to the match situation. He is a game-changer and the time has come for him to do so if Delhi Capitals have to qualify for the play-offs. He is batting No. 4 and not No. 6. If he gets to bat 10 overs, he has to score at least 60 or 70. These 20 and 30 won’t help Delhi,” Gavaskar said.
The former India great, who has been commenting on the tournament, has watched Pant’s game closely and feels he needs to improve his shot selection.
Gavaskar said, “Shot selection should be good and he needs to be more careful in this matter.
