Paris: On-Form American Bernarda Pera ousted world number two Annette Kontaveit to win in straight sets wta Hamburg clay court tournament on Saturday.
Pera, ranked 81, won 6-2, 6-4 in 1 hour 14 minutes against the top seed of Estonia to clinch her second career title after Budapest a week ago.
The 27-year-old has now won 12 straight matches at all levels in Budapest qualifying and 24 consecutive sets.
After winning the St Petersburg title in February for Kontaveit, it was the second final loss this year after Doha.
